The Mister Butcher Story

Meet the family behind Mister Butcher. Jonathan Butcher and Christine Butcher Wilson are the brother and sister team who spent their youth growing up in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. They come from a family who loves great food, and one that loves to celebrate every opportunity.   

Jonathan has spent the last 20 years in the food service business, working for some of Canada’s most successful companies in a variety of sales related roles. He brings a deep knowledge of the protein sector with a true passion for understanding customers needs, excellent products and outstanding personal service.   

Christine brings close to 20 years in the business world to the table. She spent many years at Bain & Company, where she advised senior corporate clients while consulting in the areas of customer strategy, performance improvement, private equity and mergers & acquisitions.

In March 2020, at the height of the Covid pandemic, Jonathan and Christine wanted to help out their friends and neighbours...people were quarantined, no one wanted to line up to go to a grocery store, and the options were limited if you actually made the trip.  They teamed up and sent out a few emails to friends offering some meat and seafood products that would normally go to high end restaurants across the city.  The response has been amazing, and Mister Butcher was born. 

3 years later, we have expanded to multiple suppliers, and are continually adding product to our shop.  We secured our own refrigerated delivery truck, and now deliver in the broader GTA 3 days a week, and deliver to ski & cottage country every Friday.  Our first location opened in midtown Toronto at the end of April
